Hello my fellow Americans, welcome to my website about America's Rifle! Here you will learn about the AR-15; the rifle platform and technological advancement that is used by our brave military personnel to defend our freedom! This rifle was an innovation in the firearms and weapons industry that continues to play a significant role in our country today for both servicemen and civilians. The purpose of this website is to inform people on the AR-15 platform; what it is, how it works, and the key role it has played for our military. I hope to share with you my passion for our right to bare arms, as well as my respect and admiration towards the U.S. Armed Forces. I want to thank all of our military personnel that have served and continue to serve our country, "Semper fi!". And to the rest of us Americans, let us be grateful for the privileges we been blessed with. Support our troops!
About Me
My name is Luke Smith, I'm a native to the small-historic town of Beaufort, South Carolina. This beautiful sea island community renders two important bases for the United States Marine Corps; the Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Parris Island, and the Marine Corps Air Station of Beaufort. Early on in my childhood I sparked an interest in our military history and I gratefully admire the brave men and women that have sacrificed their lives so that the rest of us can live in luxury. Growing up in a military town and coming from a family of military background, guns were always a part of my life. As I learned and experienced how to safely and effectively operate firearms, I began to develop a passion for the AR-15. I became intrigued by the science and physics behind the mechanical function of guns, particularly that of the AR-15 platform.
For my hobbies I enjoy engaging myself in activities such as physical fitness, going fishing, camping, shooting, and having cook-outs with family and friends. I spend a lot of my free-time researching and learning about government, politics, and foreign affairs, as well as expanding my knowledge on guns and other state-of-the-art weapon systems and technologies used by our military. At the end of this semester I plan on joining the Navy and undergoing training to become a SEAL operator in the special warfare community. |
The M16-A1 made its debut in the Vietnam War.
The M16-A4 is widely used by the U.S. Marine Corps today.
